Prior to co-founding Jubilee, Amy worked for 15 years at Bay Area Legal Aid. Amy specialized in the areas of public benefits, family and immigration law, with a focus on representing and providing holistic legal services to limited English proficient immigrant domestic violence survivors. 

Amy’s passion for advocating on behalf of marginalized immigrants and refugees over the last 20+ years is grounded in her belief that in shared humanity, our individual well-being is intricately intertwined with the well-being of our immigrant neighbors. 

As a Hong Kong native, Amy also lived in Panama before immigrating to the U.S. with her family. Amy received her bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Social Welfare from University of California, Berkeley and her law degree from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law. She has been licensed to practice law in California since 1999.
